We have gotten funding from the Swedish Research Council for a fully funded PhD student to study the evolutionary origins of developmental programs in multicellular organisms. We are looking for a student with a masters degree in mathematical or computational discipline interested in modeling evolution.

Peter Lind and I have a postdoc project available as part of the ‘Excellence by Choice’ postdoctoral program. The project looks at how horizontal gene transfer affects genetic regulation in microbial communities. We are looking for someone interested in building theoretical/mathematical models to explore this fascinating topic.

We are happy to welcome new members to our group. Josephine Solowiej-Wedderburn joins us as part of an IceLab multidisciplinary postdoc program team that includes PIs Peter Lind, Ludvig Lizana, and Björn Schröder. Lucas Santana Souza joins us as part of Kempe funded postdoc on the evolution of endosymbioses.
